Drinking, smoking, or overeating disorder?
Be Totally Free's most valuable resources are its people. If you're suffering from a drinking, smoking, sex, or overeating disorder, your most valuable assets are the positive people in your life, pushing you towards recovery.
Tricia Greaves is a nutrition expert and founder of Be Totally Free. She grew up in a beautiful home with loving parents and two older sisters. She went to a prestigious prep school, was president of her school senior year, was involved in sports, received her BA from Amherst College, and despite all of her success, suffered from an eating disorder and compulsive drinking.
By age 21, Tricia had hit rock bottom. She tried everything she could think of to overcome the symptoms associated with her inner turmoil, but did not succeed. Then one day, God brought Roy Nelson into Tricia's life, he shared his story, and has helped Tricia rewrite her own. Tricia learned how to stop overeating, drinking, etc., and in 2000, Tricia made herself publicly available to help people like you.
How to stop overeating, etc.
Roy Nelson was able to help Tricia turn her life around because he had been in her position before. He suffered, learned how to stop overeating, self-medicating, and filled the void in his life with God.
Roy Nelson grew up in poverty as one of four children to a sadistically violent, alcoholic father. Roy was no stranger to emotional and sexual abuse, and lived his life in constant fear. Throughout life Roy battled an overeating disorder, and with the added stress of abuse and providing for a family at a very young age, Roy weighed 230lbs by age 22. He became successful in sales, but continued to gain weight and added to his list of addictions drinking, smoking, drugs, and phobias.
Roy turned his own life around, like so few people can, and then dedicated his life to helping others. After helping Tricia, she decided to do the same, and as a result, Be Totally Free has a vast network of volunteers who understand your frustrations and want to help you through your compulsive eating, drinking, smoking, or other addictions.
